Han Yuan has worked in the scientific field for over 13 years. In 2008, they began their career as a Research Assistant at Wuhan University of Technology. Han then moved on to New York University in 2015 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 2016, they joined Kaleido Biosciences as a Senior Scientist and Scientist II, where they managed CRO in developing and validating highly customized bioanalytical methods for human and animal PK study of leads for two IND packages. Han also worked with QA team on reviewing validation protocols and data to ensure the method performance satisfy the specifications on FDA guideline. In 2009, they joined NYU Tandon School of Engineering: Graduate School as a Research Fellow and Teaching/Research Assistant. Here, they successfully conducted NIH funded project on purifying and characterizing trace amounts of Hyaluronan (HA) in human breast milk, and investigated the effect of macromolecular crowding on protein aggregation. Han also mentored 10 technicians and students worked under their supervision on research projects. In 2022, they joined Vesalius Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist II.
Han Yuan completed their Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from Wuhan University between 2007 and 2009. Han then earned their Bachelor of Science in Materials Chemistry from Wuhan University of Technology between 2005 and 2009. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Chemistry from NYU Tandon School of Engineering between 2009 and 2015.
