Joseph Kraut has a diverse professional background, with experience ranging from finance roles in the renewable energy sector to strategic systems programs in the US Navy. Joseph is currently serving as the Director of Finance at Vesper Energy since May 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Finance Director at Pivot Power Management from November 2019 to May 2021, and also worked as a Finance Associate at the same company from June 2018 to November 2019. Joseph Kraut has a diverse education history. Joseph began their academic journey in 2001 at the University of Michigan, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, specifically emphasizing thermodynamics. Joseph successfully completed this degree program in 2006.

Following their undergraduate studies, Joseph enrolled in the Navy Nuclear Power Training Program from 2006 to 2007, which involved non-accredited master's work in Nuclear Engineering.

In 2009, Joseph attended the Prospective Nuclear Engineer Officer School, where they obtained a Nuclear Engineering Certification by the Department of Energy.

Continuing their educational pursuits, Joseph enrolled at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2013. Joseph pursued a dual degree program, earning both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science (MS) with a focus on Energy, Sustainability, and Finance. Joseph successfully completed this program in 2016.
