John Lopez

John Lopez is the current Portfolio Manager at Vesta Asset Management. Prior to that, they worked as an Investment and Budget Analyst at Z&L Properties from December 2017 to September 2020. There, they were responsible for California Residential Development. Before that, they worked as an Asset/Investment Manager at a private family from January 2013 to October 2017 where they were responsible for management oversight, budgets and financial analysis for a mix of smaller multi-family and single family portfolios for HNW family trust. John's first job was at Essex Property Trust from January 1998 to December 2012 where they worked as Due Diligence/Asset Management/Economist.

John Lopez has a Masters in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. John also has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Economics from Washington State University.

They work with Lizzette Hasbun - Portfolio Manager, Christopher Spaffford - Portfolio Manager-Compliance, and Rhoda Balucio-Upwork - Maintenance Coordinator. Their manager is Katelin Nolan, Director of Operations. and Betsy Pedroza - Resident Manager/APM reports to John Lopez.
