Koen Van den Heuvel currently serves as Day Shift Team Leader and Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor at Vesta Terminals since November 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Head Operations and Supervisor Operations at Tankopslag Verbeke nv from April 2012 to October 2020, and as a Surveyor at Inspectorate from April 2004 to March 2012. Koen Van den Heuvel completed education at Ghent University between 1999 and 2003, and at Karel de Grote-Hogeschool from 1996 to 1999.

Vesta Terminals is an independently operated bulk liquid storage company offering its customers safe and reliable logistics services in the form of storage and transshipment, primarily for crude oil, refined petroleum products, bio fuels and petrochemicals.
