Paulo Guimaraes

Paulo Guimaraes is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Services Project Management Senior Manager for LATAM at Vestas since January 2022. In this role, Paulo leads a multi-cultural team of Service Project Managers and oversees the support of over 5,000 wind turbines across Latin America, totaling more than 14 GW in capacity, with a focus on operational improvements and incident management. Previously, Paulo held various positions at GE Renewable Energy, including LATAM Service Engineering Manager and LATAM Lead Fleet Performance Engineer, where responsibilities included performance development, problem-solving, and customer communication. Early career experience includes roles at SeaStar Solutions, IESA Projetos, and Embraer, covering areas such as testing engineering, international procurement, and supplier technical representation. Paulo holds an MBA in Project Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering from UNIARA.
