Alfons Lueftenegger

Alfons Lueftenegger has extensive experience in leadership roles within the refractories industry. Alfons recently served as the Vice President of Marketing & Technology at Vesuvius, where they led the global marketing and technology team for their Advanced Refractories Division. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director at pewag group, overseeing a business segment and implementing operational improvements. Alfons also worked as the Purchasing and Technical Director at Calderys, and held various roles at RHI AG, including Vice President of Innovation and IP Management, Head of Global Product Management, Division Manager of Product Management Flow Control/NAFTA, Head of Product Management Tundish/EMEA, and Product Manager for Non Basic Monolithics. Throughout their career, Lueftenegger has been responsible for driving innovation, managing global teams, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the companies they have worked for.

Alfons Lueftenegger completed the AMP- Advanced Management Program at INSEAD in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Material Science from Montanuniversität Leoben from 1991 to 1999. Alfons also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from HTL Salzburg, which they completed from 1986 to 1991.
