Stephane Mafaraud has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Stephane began their career as an Assistant Marketing Director at Carrefour in 1989. Stephane then worked as an Account Manager at Burke Communications from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they served as a Marketing Manager at Chapman Freeborn Airchartering from 1998 to 1999.

In 1999, Stephane joined Valeo as an Account Manager for Europe, managing the Ford Group's aftermarket account in Europe and Asia. Stephane was later promoted to Senior Account Manager & Business Development Manager, overseeing a budget of 35 million euros and managing a team of two.

Stephane then joined Rio Tinto in 2007 as a Commercial Excellence Champion, responsible for driving sales performance. Stephane was later promoted to Sales Director - EMEA, leading a top-line of 176 million euros and managing a team of 30, as well as overseeing three sales offices in Europe.

In 2013, Stephane joined Constellium as a Sales Director, where they led the extrusion business with a turnover of 115 million euros and managed a team of 18. After two years, they moved on to thyssenkrupp in 2016, assuming the role of Sales Director - Aerospace. In this position, they led the aerospace business of 60 million euros, managed a team of 15, and implemented sales transformation initiatives.

Most recently, Stephane joined Vesuvius in 2020 as the Sales and Marketing Director.

Stephane Mafaraud completed their Master's degree in International Trade at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL in 1998. Later, in 2008, they pursued an Executive MBA at ESCP Business School.
