Veterans Community Project
Kevin Vernon is an experienced case manager currently serving in Veteran Support Services at the Veterans Community Project since November 2020. Prior to this role, Kevin worked at the Wyandot Center for Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. since September 2005, where responsibilities included community support services and attendant care. Kevin's previous experience includes serving as a Housing Stabilization Specialist at Metro Lutheran Ministry and as Property Manager for Oakwood Gardens Apartments, overseeing operations and management of a multifamily complex. Kevin holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from The University of Kansas.

Veterans Community Project (VCP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness by providing transitional-housing, wrap-around support services, and emergency assistance. Headquartered in Kansas City, MO, VCP uses Kansas City as the blueprint for achieving similar success in its expansion to cities across the United States, with the long-term goal of eliminating Veteran homelessness nationwide. VCP is a team of connectors, feelers, and doers on a mission to help our kin, our kind. We move with swift, bold action, always motivated to serve with compassion. We took an oath to serve all who served us by dedicating our time and careers to eradicating Veteran homelessness in Kansas City.
