Susie VanDyke is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience specializing in PTSD, particularly working with returning combat veterans at Veterans Village of San Diego since August 2007. In addition to serving in this role, Susie operates a private practice focusing on issues such as addiction, depression, anxiety, and grief. Susie also has a background as a mental health case manager, providing support to veterans on probation, and as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, gaining valuable hours while assisting veterans with substance abuse and other psychological challenges. Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD) has served all veterans since 1981 and is dedicated to “Leave No One Behind.” With five locations throughout San Diego County, VVSD is the only program of its kind in the United States and is nationally recognized as the leader in serving homeless military veterans. Each year VVSD provides services to more than 3,000 military veterans throughout the County of San Diego.
