Lauryn Benson

Lauryn Benson is a seasoned veterinary professional with extensive experience in emergency and critical care. Since January 2019, Lauryn has served as the Medical Director at Veterinary Emergency Group, demonstrating leadership and expertise in emergency medicine. Prior to this role, Lauryn worked as an Emergency Veterinarian at Animal Specialty Center from August 2014 to October 2019 and held a position as a Veterinarian at Prospect Heights Animal Hospital from August 2013 to August 2014. Lauryn began a career in veterinary medicine as an intern at BluePearl Veterinary Partners from July 2012 to June 2013. Educationally, Lauryn holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, obtained in 2012, and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completed in 2008.
