Vetta Sports
Vetta Sports offers sports programs for kids and adults in a fun and safe environment. Vetta has been doing this since 1988, and simply put we Play Sports and Have Fun. Vetta Sports is named after owners Pete and John Spanos' Grandmother, Vetta. You will see a picture of Yaya Vetta up at every location. Yiayia Vetta (Grandmother Vetta) took exceptional care of her 4 children, particularly during the Nazi occupation of Greece during World War II. Some days her only meal would consist of cornbread crumbs, while giving the loaf to her children in order to keep them alive. Vetta was known for sending 3 of her children to the bomb shelter, while staying back in the apartment with her boy Leonidas, because he couldn't wake up in time to get to safety. Yiayia Vetta's service to her family inspires us today, and we hope we bring that spirit of service to the Vetta Sports Experience.
