Sebastian Jakob

Sebastian Jakob has worked in a variety of roles in the finance and consulting industries. Sebastian began their career in 2005 as an intern at the European Parliament. Sebastian then interned at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in 2007. In 2011, they interned at Commerzbank AG and in 2012, they interned at Detecon International GmbH and was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. From 2015 to 2018, they were Vice President of Strategy and Business Management at BlackRock, ETF & Index Investments, and was responsible for the Global Markets and Investment Strategy function. Sebastian then served as Director of Strategy & Marketing at The Voleon Group from 2018 to 2022. Sebastian is currently the Head of Strategy at VettaFi.

Sebastian Jakob received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Affairs from the University of St.Gallen between 2009 and 2012. During 2011 and 2012, they also attended the National University of Singapore on a non-degree basis for International Business. In addition, they obtained the WSET Level 3 Award in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in July 2016, the Associate Judge at the International Wine and Spirit Competition from the IWSC Group Ltd in January 2017, and the Series 3 from FINRA.
