Matt Jones

Bioinformatics Scientist at Vevo

Matthew Jones is a highly skilled bioinformatics scientist and postdoctoral scholar currently developing innovative methodologies for studying oncogene amplification and evolution in aggressive cancers at Stanford University. As a founding member of the Vevo Single-Cell Advisory Panel and a key contributor at Vevo Therapeutics, Matthew is involved in advancing in vivo drug discovery using AI models to enhance patient outcomes. With a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, Matthew has significant experience in single-cell lineage tracing, deep learning for disease prediction, and dimensionality reduction for RNA-seq data. Additionally, Matthew has a background in consulting and data representation, having worked with various organizations including Google and Genentech.
