Tarek Khaled

Tarek Khaled has over 19 years of experience in the IT industry. Tarek began their career in 2002 as a Network Administrator/Incident Response at JCDecaux. During their time there, they in-sourced the cross regional VPN infrastructure using Cisco hardware and worked with an international team to update the local and remote networks to 2003 MS Active Directory/Exchange. Tarek also designed and implemented a network and host based IDS infrastructure using ISS real secure, a patch management solution using Perl scripts, and tested and deployed network and local Active Directory policies.

In 2004, they joined Buckingham Asset Management as a Security and Compliance, where they designed and implemented a remote access solution to establish remote connectivity for mobile users, assisted in building a replica disaster recovery site, created a secure web infrastructure, and implemented an auditing solution.

From 2012 to 2013, Tarek Khaled worked at Microsoft as an Identity Solutions Specialist, where they focused on enabling Cloud Identity through communicating the cloud IDM vision and its value. Tarek also managed customer relationships and positioned identity as a catalyst to upsell other none identity offerings.

In 2013, they joined Okta, Inc. as a Principal Solutions Engineer, where they provided enterprises with an on-demand identity and access management service that enabled them to accelerate the secure adoption of their web applications, both in the cloud and behind the firewall.

Most recently, Tarek Khaled has been working as a Founder Solutions Consultant at Veza since 2021.

Tarek Khaled's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brooklyn College (2003-2007), a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and High Technology from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University (2011-2013), and a Highschool Diploma from Rawdah High School.
