Chris Hoyle

Chris Hoyle, FCA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Chris is currently the Group Finance Director for VGC Group, where they oversee the finance function for seven trading companies in the staffing & recruitment and construction sectors. Chris is responsible for setting the finance strategy and managing a team of 16 professionals.

Prior to their current role, Chris worked at Turner & Townsend for nearly a decade. Chris held various positions, including Financial Controller & Associate Director, where they managed a finance team and had responsibilities for statutory compliance, financial reporting, and budgeting. Chris also served as a Group Senior Accountant, overseeing the financial performance of multiple cost centers and consolidating monthly financial reports.

Earlier in their career, Chris worked at Grant Thornton UK LLP as an Audit Senior. During their tenure, they gained experience in leading external audits for clients in diverse sectors such as commercial, legal, government, and charities.

Chris Hoyle, FCA has a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in History from the University of Hull, which was obtained from 2002 to 2005. Chris also attended the ICAEW from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained their ACA degree. Additionally, they completed their education at Rastrick High School from 1995 to 2000 and at Rastrick High School 6th Form College from 2000 to 2002. Furthermore, they have additional certifications from the ICAEW, including being a Business & Finance Professional and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Chris obtained their Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales certification in 2010, and the other certifications in 2021.
