Monica Nderitu serves as the Regional Environment and Climate Change Advisor at Vi-skogen/Vi Agroforestry since August 2021. Previously, Monica Nderitu was a Lecturer at The Technical University of Kenya from May 2013 to July 2022, teaching environmental management, sustainability, project management, and related subjects while also engaging in research. Additionally, Monica Nderitu worked as an Environmental/Climate Change Consultant at Green Point Sustainable Solutions Limited from February 2013 to July 2022, focusing on project management and advocacy. Monica Nderitu holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Climate Change and Adaptation from the University of Nairobi, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Africa Nazarene University, a Master of Science in Environmental Communication and Management of Natural Resources from SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Communication from the University of Nairobi.

Vi-skogen är en svensk biståndsorganisation som planterar träd i Kenya, Uganda och Tanzania. Fyra länder som är hårt drabbade av avskogningen och som under många år levt med dess förödande effekter för både människor och natur. Vi-skogen/ Vi Agroforestry reaches over one million people through training and advice. More than 120 million trees have been planted since its inception in 1983. Vi-skogen/ Vi Agroforestry's vision is a sustainable environment that makes it possible for people living in poverty to improve their lives. Vi-skogen/ Vi Agroforestry works in four countries: Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
