Alisha Powers

Alisha Powers has a diverse work experience in various educational and healthcare roles. Alisha began their career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Prime Care Hospice in 2011. Alisha then joined Teach For America in 2013, where they served as a Teach for America Corps Member, Content Leader, and Corps Member Advisor. Following this, Alisha worked at William R. Sullivan Elementary School as an 8th Grade Teacher, where they implemented effective teaching strategies and facilitated the integration of technology in the classroom. Alisha also served as the National Junior Honors Society Advisor. Alisha continued their career at Teach For America as the Manager of Teacher Leadership Development, supporting and developing teachers. Alisha later joined Cincinnati Public Schools as a 6th Grade ELA Teacher and then moved to Teaching Lab as an ELA & Math Facilitator.
