Akeem Brown

Akeem Brown is the Vice Chair at VIA Metropolitan Transit. Akeem has also served as the Director of People Operations at Compass Rose Public Schools, the Chief of Staff at Blue Duck Scooters, and the VP of Human Resources. Akeem has a deep commitment to helping all students live up to their power and potential through a rigorous high-tech, college-preparatory education. Akeem has also developed a human capital approach to HR management and has created and managed a pay-for-performance plan as a recruitment/retention tool.

Akeem Brown has a Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from South Carolina State University, and a certification in Nonprofit Management from the San Antonio Area Foundation.
