Martin J. Heimrich P.e.

Martin J. Heimrich, P.E., is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in quality control and technical coordination, particularly in fleet technologies at VIA Metropolitan Transit since 2018. Prior to this role, Martin contributed to fuels and lubricants research at Southwest Research Institute for 30 years, managing projects focused on engine lubricant evaluations, catalyst systems, and advanced emission control technologies. Martin’s career began at General Motors, where diverse engineering roles included automotive fuel systems and emission control products. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, multiple Master of Science degrees from The University of Texas at San Antonio in Environmental Sciences/Civil Engineering and Management of Technology, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
