Rod Sanchez

Rod Sanchez currently serves as Senior Vice President in the Strategic Planning and Development Department at VIA Metropolitan Transit since April 2024. Prior to this role, Rod had a long tenure with the City of San Antonio, starting in March 2001, where positions included Assistant City Manager and roles as Director and Assistant Director of Development Services. Rod also contributed as a Past Board Member for the Animal Care Advisory Board and served on the board of JOVEN, Inc. Educational qualifications include a BBA in Finance from St. Mary's University, a certificate in Electrical Construction from St. Philip's College, and an M.S. in Urban Administration from Trinity University.
