Jeffrey Grossman

Chief Scientist at Via Separations

Jeffrey Grossman is the current Chief Scientist at Via Separations. Jeffrey has also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they were responsible for fabrication and characterization of thin film electrical devices, study of the impact of processing on chemical structure, film morphology, and optical and electrical properties of asphaltenes and other carbonaceous materials, and spectroscopic characterization of carbon materials. Prior to that, Grossman worked as an undergraduate researcher at MIT, installing, refining, and using a new solvent annealing system for exposing poly(styrene-b-dimethylsiloxane) (PS-PDMS) with in-situ spectral reflectometry. Jeffrey has also worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Minnesota and as an undergraduate research volunteer at Minot State University.

Jeffrey Grossman studied chemical engineering and chemistry at the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Science. Jeffrey then went on to study materials science and engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy.
