Annika Jacobson

Vice Chair at Viable Cities

Annika Jacobson is an experienced leader in climate policy and sustainable development, currently serving as Vice Chair at Viable Cities and Board Member at ActionAid Sverige since May 2023. Jacobson holds the position of Klimatgeneral/Special Coordinator for Climate Action in the City of Stockholm since April 2023. Previously, Jacobson was CEO and Strategic Advisor at Alldeles until October 2024, and served as State Secretary for the Ministry of Environment from January 2019 to December 2021, focusing on national and international climate policy as well as the coordination of UN sustainable development goals. Earlier roles include Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Environment, Senior Policy Advisor at Utrikesdepartementet, and Country Director for Greenpeace. With a background in project management from Projektcentrum Idékraft and international studies from Universidad de Alcalá, Jacobson has cultivated a robust expertise in environmental governance and advocacy.
