Alejandro Olivares has over 9 years of work experience in communications and journalism. Alejandro currently serves as the Head of Communications at Viakable, where they are responsible for planning and managing internal and external communications channels, as well as developing the company's crisis communications plan. Prior to that, they worked at Ternium as a Content and Communication Strategist, where they coordinated and created content for various internal and corporate communication channels and developed the company's digital communication strategy. Before joining Ternium, Alejandro worked as a Business Journalist for Grupo REFORMA, where they published numerous articles with local and national impact and interviewed prominent business leaders. Alejandro also served as a General Editor at Grupo Nueva Prensa, where they supervised a team of collaborators and established the first independent student media at their university.
Alejandro Olivares has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they obtained from 2009 to 2013. Alejandro also holds two Master's degrees in Corporate Communications and Digital Marketing, one from Next International Business School and the other from Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, both obtained from 2019 to 2020. In addition to their degrees, Alejandro has obtained several certifications, including Content Marketing Certified and Inbound Marketing Certified from HubSpot Academy, as well as Google certifications such as Certification on Google Ads Campaigns and Google Analytics Individual Qualification, all obtained in 2020.
