Ilyena Kozain currently serves as the Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships and Uganda Country Director at Viamo, leading a significant randomized controlled trial under the $1.5 million Development Innovation Ventures grant to evaluate health outcomes for women in Uganda. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Associate at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where Ilyena specialized in emergency medical services within the integrated sexual reproductive maternal neonatal health program and managed partnerships for various health initiatives. As the New Business Development and Partnership Manager at Jhpiego, Ilyena was selected for the Global Health Corps program and contributed to securing funding from numerous international organizations. Additional roles include Director of Financial Aid and co-leader of international programs at Proctor Academy, a Minerva Fellow at Engeye Health Clinic in Uganda, researcher at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, and hospice volunteer at Schenectady Community Home Inc. Ilyena holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Union College.
