Mark Boots

Mark Boots is a co-founder and CTO of Viamo, an impact-first communication platform that connects individuals and organizations in developing countries, serving over 20 million annual users. Mark has also held the position of Chief Information Officer at Last Energy and participated in the EWB Venture Fellowship with Engineers Without Borders Canada. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics and Engineering Physics and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in both Engineering Physics and Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan. During tenure at Canadian Light Source Inc., Mark initiated and led significant software development projects aimed at enhancing data collection and workflow management for scientific research.
