Ernie Jones

Ernie Jones has extensive experience in engineering and project management, encompassing roles in various industries including satellite communications, energy management, healthcare, and telecommunications. Currently a Project and Systems Engineer at Viasat Inc. since March 2020, Ernie leads satellite communications projects. As Principal at Charon Consulting, LLC since March 2006, Ernie has architected an end-to-end security solution for a Smart Grid product supporting significant transaction volumes. Previous positions include Sr. Manager Engineering at DataPath, Inc., where Ernie led the design team for a transportable triband ground terminal for the Australian Defence Force, and Senior Program Manager at McKesson Health Solutions, where Ernie established PMO processes for a healthcare hybrid cloud. Earlier experience includes significant roles at Nokia, Panasonic, Glenayre Electronics Inc., and the United States Air Force, earning a BSEE in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Economics from the University of South Alabama.
