Ismael Briones Vilar

Ismael Briones Vilar is a seasoned cyber security professional with extensive experience in cyber security operations and malware analysis. Currently serving as the Head of Cyber Security Operations at Viasat since May 2023, following the acquisition of Inmarsat, Ismael has a rich background that includes roles such as Academic Advisor at Security Blue Team and Head of Cyber Security Operations at Inmarsat until February 2024. Previous positions include Senior Cyber Forensic and Malware Analyst at Lloyds Banking Group and the European Commission, where expertise in incident triage, malware analysis, and computer forensics was developed. Ismael also contributed to Panda Security as a Senior Malware Researcher and served as a Perl/Python Developer at Hispasec Sistemas. Educational qualifications include a Telecommunications Degree from the University of Valencia and various specialized training in computer forensics and cyber security.
