Frank Vernaillen

Frank Vernaillen is an expert in research informatics at VIB, where employment began in July 2016. Prior to this role, Frank accumulated extensive experience at Esko (a Danaher company) from 1998 to July 2016, progressing through positions from Software Engineer to Principal Software Engineer. Early career experience includes a Software Engineer position at Alcatel from 1996 to 1998. Frank holds a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from KU Leuven (2002-2003) and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Ghent University (1990-1996). Additionally, Frank has culinary qualifications as both a Cook and Sommelier from Hotelschool Gent.
