Dema Tio

Dema Tio has a wealth of work experience. Dema began their professional career in 2005 as a Game Programmer at Playwares Studios. In 2007, they moved to Acadian Asset Management as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2013, they Co-Founded Vibease and was nominated for the Crunchies Awards 2013, the Best Luxury Toys of 2015, the Best Adult Gadget 2017 by Wired, and was a runner-up winner at Dublin Web Summit. In 2015, they became a Mentor for the Founder Institute. In 2021, they took on the role of Smart Contract Developer and Community Manager for DeFi on BSC (Undisclosed). Most recently, in 2022, they Co-Founded Rise of NFTs (RoNs), a web3 gaming platform that makes NFTs come to life with true NFT interoperability.

Dema Tio is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to this, they were a Hacker, Maker and Entrepreneur at HAXLR8R from 2015. Dema has also completed programs at the Founder Institute. Additionally, Dema Tio holds certifications from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Blockchain: Disruptive Technology, Cybersecurity: Technology, Application and Policy, and Internet of Things: Roadmap to a Connected World.
