Andrea Salinas

Andrea Salinas has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Andrea currently holds the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Vibrant Works since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Human Resources, Strategic Talent Services at UT Health San Antonio from May 2020 to November 2021.

Before joining UT Health San Antonio, Andrea worked as the Chief Administrative Officer at Goodwill Industries of San Antonio from October 2018 to August 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Operations at Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries, Inc. from September 2015 to October 2018, and as the Director of Operations from August 2014 to September 2015.

Andrea's long-term experience in the field of Human Resources also includes various roles at Goodwill Industries of Central Texas. Andrea worked as the Senior Vice President of Human Services from January 2014 to August 2014, Chief Administrative Officer from January 2012 to January 2014, Chief Operations Officer from January 2007 to January 2012, Vice President of Employee Services from December 2000 to January 2007, HR Director from August 1999 to December 2000, HR Manager from November 1998 to August 1999, and HR Generalist from April 1996 to November 1998.

In addition to their work at Goodwill Industries, Andrea served as the President of Goodwill Staffing Services from December 2009 to January 2012.

Andrea Salinas has a strong education background in business and human resources. Andrea obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Human Resources from The University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating in 1993. After working in the field for several years, they pursued further education and completed an MBA from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business between 2010 and 2012, specializing in Business.

In addition to their formal education, Andrea has also earned several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Andrea obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in December 1993. Andrea also holds the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation from SHRM since March 2015. More recently, in March 2020, Andrea obtained certifications in Leading at a Distance and Organizational Learning and Development from LinkedIn. These additional certifications demonstrate their commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current in their field.
