Begüm Edek has been working in the engineering field since 2012. Begüm began their career as an Engineer Intern at MKEK in 2012, followed by an Engineer Intern role at Aselsan in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Chemical Engineer at Kimetsan Kimya Maden ve Metalurji Endüstrileri. From 2015 to 2022, Begüm Edek worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Metko Medikal ve Tıbbi Cihazlar Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti. and is currently working as a Quality Engineer at ViCentra.

Begüm Edek's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Ankara University, which they obtained between 2009 and 2014.
