Nigel Thomas has over 40 years of work experience. NIGEL began their career as an Apprentice Fitter/Turner at British Steel Corporation in 1977. In 1981, they moved to British Steel as a Mechanical Fitter, where they performed general maintenance and repairs to steel making and rotating plant. In 1984, they joined Sony (TV Manufacturer) as a Mechanical Engineer and Technician, where they were responsible for carrying out major installation projects and performing planned and breakdown maintenance to fully automated production and conveyor systems. In 1995, they joined Bayer (Pharmaceutical) as a Maintenance/Manufacturing Engineer, where they were responsible for fault finding, repair and planned maintenance to fully automated production lines and machinery. In 2012, they joined Olympus (Medical Devices) as a Senior Maintenance Engineer and Team Leader, where they led and supervised a team of mechanical, electrical and electronic technicians along with maintenance support operators. In 2014, they moved to Cellnovo Ltd as a Process Engineering Manager and Senior Manufacturing Engineer. Finally, in 2019, they joined ViCentra as a Consultant Manufacturing Engineer.

Nigel Thomas attended Port Talbot College of Further Education from 1977 to 1983, earning City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 and 3 Mechanical Engineering Technician Certificates. NIGEL also attended Ynysawdre Comprehensive from 1977 to 1983, where they earned O level Mathematic.C.S.E. Metalwork, as well as certifications in English; History , Geology, Cookery, and Physics.
