Christian Hofmann

Christian Hofmann has over 20 years of work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Christian is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Vicinitas Therapeutics starting from April 2023. Previously, they served as the Chief Business Officer at Lycia Therapeutics from August 2020 to March 2023.

Christian also held various roles at Roche and its subsidiary Genentech. At Roche, they worked as the Director of Global Business Development for Neuroscience, Ophthalmology, and Rare Disease from October 2014 to August 2020. Prior to that, they were an Associate Director of Pipeline & Portfolio Planning at Genentech from April 2012 to October 2014.

Before joining Roche and Genentech, Christian gained extensive experience in business development roles. Christian served as the Vice President of Business Development at Epiphany Biosciences from January 2008 to April 2012. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Business Development at the same company from April 2006 to December 2007. Christian also worked as the Associate Director of Business Development at Kosan Biosciences from June 2005 to March 2006, and at Roche Molecular Systems from January 2002 to June 2005.

Christian started their career at McKinsey & Co. as an Engagement Manager from April 1998 to January 2002. Christian was a member of the European and Global Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device practice, providing strategic and operational consulting services to biopharmaceutical, medical device, and venture capital companies in Europe and the United States.

Christian Hofmann has a Ph.D. in Molecular & Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Christian also holds a B.S. in Applied Physics and Biochemistry from Yale University.
