Luke Cornelius APM has extensive experience within Victoria Police, serving in various leadership roles since August 2003, including Assistant Commissioner for Human Resources Command and the Northwest Metropolitan Region. Notably, Luke successfully led policing services during the Covid-19 pandemic and directed the response to the VEOHRC Review addressing issues of discrimination and harassment within the force. Additional positions include leading the Southern Metropolitan Region and serving in various capacities such as the Ethical Standards Department and Legal Services Department. Furthermore, Luke is also a Council Member at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine and has contributed as a Board Member for the Blue Ribbon Foundation. Prior experience includes a role as Director of People Strategies at the Australian Federal Police. Luke holds multiple degrees in law and public administration from prestigious institutions, including a Master of Public Administration from ANZSOG and a Bachelor of Laws from Flinders University.
