Aleena Halliwushka

Aleena Halliwushka is a seasoned healthcare professional currently serving as the Director for Home & Community Care in the Ontario East Region at VON Canada since September 2022. Previously, Aleena held the position of Senior Manager for Home and Community Care in the South East and Central East regions. Prior experience includes serving as Laboratory Manager at Campbellford Memorial Hospital, where successful accreditation and quality improvement initiatives were led, and as a Medical Laboratory Technologist across various hospitals, including Shared Hospital Laboratory, Lakeridge Health, and William Osler Health System. Aleena has a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Ontario Tech University, a Master's degree in Health Administration from the University of Toronto, and additional certifications, including a certificate in Engagement and Partnering for People-Centred Care from McMaster University.
