Abigail O'Dell is an experienced educator and artist currently serving as an Art and Design Teacher at Victory College Prep since July 2019, instructing students in grades 7-12 in art and graphic design. In addition, O'Dell has been an Adjunct Professor at Ivy Tech Community College since August 2021, focusing on visual communications and photography. Previous roles include Teaching Artist and Senior Audience Research Associate at Newfields, Art Teacher at Lighthouse Academies, and extensive experience creating and facilitating art programs across various Indianapolis institutions. O'Dell has a robust educational background with a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Spanish, and Art History from Indiana University Bloomington.

Victory College Prep
Victory College Prep (VCP) opened in August 2005 on the Southeast side of Indianapolis with the goals of serving all students in the city. VCP is a public, K-12 charter school and serves approximately 900 students. The mission of Victory College Prep is to prepare students with the academic and social-emotional skills necessary to success in college, career, and life. We use a restorative approach to discipline and develop the whole child in our school. We leverage relationships and social skill development to ensure that all students graduate prepared to solve problems, work collaboratively, and persevere in the world. All students in grades 7-12 participate in a daily advisory program for 50 minutes. Staff advisors remain with their students throughout their entire high school career and focus on developing social-emotional skills, academic development, and college-and-career advising.
