Thiana Sedrez

Thiana Sedrez has a diverse work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Thiana is currently working as a CFD Engineer at Victory Energy Operations, LLC since 2022. Thiana is also a Member of ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) since 2022.

Prior to their current position, Thiana worked at The University of Tulsa as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Thiana held multiple roles at the university, including Postdoctoral Research Associate and Research Assistant from 2016 to 2022.

Thiana is also a Member of NACE International since 2020 and was a Member of ASME from 2018 to 2020. Thiana was also a Member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi from 2018 to 2020.

Thiana started their career as a Scholarship/Researcher at Petrobras in 2011, where they worked on the development of geometries and numerical meshes for CFD simulations. Thiana also conducted erosion studies in cyclone separators through experiments and simulations as part of their master's research. Thiana also had an internship at Petrobras from 2012 to 2013.

Thiana Sedrez began their education at FURB - Universidade de Blumenau, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from 2007 to 2012. Thiana then pursued further education and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemical Engineering at the same institution from 2013 to 2015. Thiana's academic journey continued at The University of Tulsa, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2016 to 2020.
