Rebecca Sholes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rebecca began their career as a Project Coordinator for Irula Tribal Cooperative in 1982 and went on to work as a Library Services Coordinator at Arthur D Little Management Education Institute, where they played a key role in developing and administering the library.
Rebecca then worked at AMIDEAST as a Fundraising and Public Relations Consultant and later as a Technical Training Programs Consultant. In these roles, they planned and implemented energy management training programs and set up post-doctoral fellowship programs for professionals in Jordan.
Rebecca then joined the Institute for Development Research as a Researcher, where they researched and contributed to a case study on the relationship between NGOs and Official Agencies.
Rebecca's career then led their to Delphi International, where they served as a Program Officer, designing and implementing educational programs for professionals from various regions.
In their next role at Tufts University, Rebecca served as a Senior Faculty Development Specialist, where they designed and implemented a comprehensive program to enhance faculty's understanding and practice of technology in teaching. Rebecca also served as an Information Specialist at the Feinstein International Center, where they spearheaded the development of Forced Migration Online, a web-based information portal.
Rebecca later joined Fletcher Women's Network, where they served as a member of the organization's Leadership Team. In this role, they assisted in the transition to a new leadership team, developed an effective governance model, and worked on streamlining communications and increasing membership through the creation of a new website and leveraging social media.
Most recently, Rebecca worked at Victory Productions as a Manager of Partnership Development, where they increased sales by identifying potential leads for educational products and services through database analysis. Rebecca also collaborated with staff to develop new ideas for a company blog and co-wrote the company's top blog post, "Instructional Design 101."
Throughout their career, Rebecca has demonstrated expertise in program development, research, communication, and leadership.
Rebecca Sholes earned a Bachelor's Degree from Smith College between 1977 and 1982. Rebecca then went on to pursue further education at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy. During their time at The Fletcher School, they focused their studies on Developmental Economics, Law and Social, and South Asian Studies.
