Ashley R CISSP, CISM has a strong background in information security and risk management, with extensive experience in roles of increasing responsibility.

Starting with their most recent position at Victrex as the Group Head of Security, Ashley led the design, implementation, and operation of IT security, including the creation and implementation of global security policies and standards. They successfully delivered security initiatives to mitigate risks such as vulnerability management, multifactor authentication, and data loss prevention. Ashley also oversaw the establishment of a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) using Microsoft technologies.

They were responsible for the insider threat strategy and led the implementation of an Enhanced Monitoring Standard to ensure organizational oversight. Ashley regularly reported to C-Level executives and senior management on insider threat matters.

Before BAE Systems, Ashley worked at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a Senior Information Security Specialist. In this role, they managed multiple Information Security Management Systems and ensured a strong security conscious working culture. They also led the accreditation of multiple information systems and aligned information security to the organization's overarching goals and objectives.

Prior to their roles at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, Ashley worked at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as the Head of Technical Operations and Capacity Building Programmes for 299 Signal Squadron. They were responsible for all government IT and communication systems for the British Embassy in Nigeria and successfully project managed IT initiatives.

Ashley's career began in the British Army, where they served as a Special Communications Engineer and a Communications Systems Operator and Manager. In these roles, Ashley managed IT and communication systems for both civilian and military purposes, operated in high-threat environments, and provided communication support in Afghanistan and Iraq.
