Mateus Freira dos Santos

Mateus Freira dos Santos has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Mateus began their career as an Auxiliar de Serviços D at the Instituto Estadual de Florestas in 2007. Mateus then worked as a Programmer at Ormuztech Soluções em Tecnologia, where they developed an ERP for beauty salons in PHP and MYSQL.

Afterward, Mateus joined Teknisa as a Programmer, where they designed and built a new metadata-oriented web framework, and also provided courses on object orientation and design patterns. Mateus then moved on to Prime Systems as a Software Architect, responsible for highly sophisticated mobile systems and guiding the front-end team.

Mateus continued to advance in their career, becoming a Software Architect at Teknisa Software, developing the Zeedhi Framework and ensuring scalability of various applications. Mateus then joined Tenfold as a Software Engineer and later became the Lead Software Engineer, leading a team, improving the product, and training and mentoring team members.

Following their time at Tenfold, Mateus worked remotely at Radical Imaging LLC as a Software Engineer, developing medical imaging applications, and later as a Tech Lead and Principal Software Engineer, leading the development of a SAAS product and ensuring performance and scalability.

Most recently, Mateus joined Vila Rika Soluções as a Co-Founder, focusing on business strategy, software architecture, and developing manager solutions. Mateus is currently working as the Principal Architect at VIDA, where their responsibilities include implementing engineering best practices, leading the technology and developer teams, and overseeing complex systems projects.

Mateus Freira dos Santos holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from PUC Minas, which they obtained in 2015. Mateus then pursued further education and completed a Master of Science in Computer Science (M.S.C.S.) from PUC Minas between 2016 and 2018. Mateus has also obtained several certifications, including R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates, obtained in 2015. Mateus also completed the Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship course from Coursera in 2014 and the Functional Programming Principles in Scala course in 2012.
