Bakir Bulic

Bakir Bulic is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and advisory roles. Currently serving as the Lid raad van advies for Vidar since October 2023, Bakir provides counsel to the director and other stakeholders regarding the social participation of Vidar. As Director of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Maastricht University since September 2018, Bakir has played a crucial role in academic leadership. In addition, Bakir is a board member at Montessori College Maastricht, which is set to open in August 2024. Previous roles include project manager and project leader at Maastricht University and Maastricht University Medical Centre+ from 2009 to 2018, contributing to the establishment of the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus. Bakir's early career included a full-time internship at Maastricht UMC+ and various advisory positions within educational settings. Bakir holds a Master's degree in Molecular Life Sciences (Cum Laude) and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Life Sciences, both from Maastricht University, along with a VWO diploma from Montessori College Maastricht.
