Eric Wirstrom

Vice President, Sales And Business Development at VideoRay

Eric Wirstrom has a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Navy and related industries. In 2010, they began their career in the U.S. Navy as a Branch Head & Program Analyst in the OPNAV N80 Navy Programming Division. In 2007, they were competitively selected to command EODMU ONE, an expeditionary command responsible for the planning and execution of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Diving & Salvage, and Mine Countermeasures (MCM) operations. In 2004, they served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Operational Planner for the Joint Special Operations Command. In 2009, they attended the U.S. Naval War College, where they studied National Security Decision Making, Strategy and Policy, and Joint Military Operations and received Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) credit and a Masters of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies. In 2015, they were competitively selected to lead a forward deployed Task Force of over 1500 personnel. In 2017, they served as Fleet Capabilities Development for USFF N82. In 2018, they were a Group 14 Fellow at The Honor Foundation, and also held roles as Senior Manager of U.S. Government Business Development and Account Executive at HII Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. Currently, they are the Vice President of Business Development at VideoRay: underwater robots, where they are responsible to the CEO for Defense business development and the U.S. Navy Maritime Expeditionary Stand Off Response (MESR) remotely operated vehicle (ROV) program.

Eric Wirstrom earned a BA in 1987-1991 from Texas A&M University, and a MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from U.S. Naval War College in 2009-2010.
