Kati Mälkki-Karttunen

Kati Mälkki-Karttunen is a seasoned professional in the field of sports management and education, currently serving as a Project Specialist at Vierumäki since November 2021. Prior to this role, Mälkki-Karttunen coordinated the China Finland Year of Winter Sport 2019 at the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland from November 2018 to March 2020. Experience includes serving as a Special Advisor for the Finnish Olympic Committee from August 2014 to December 2018 and coaching figure skating at Lahti Figure Skating between 2011 and 2015. Earlier roles include positions as a sports instructor at Pajulahti Sport Institute and Haut-Lac International Bilingual School, as well as a project coordinator at Finland Sport Academy. Mälkki-Karttunen holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences in Sport, Sport Management and Health Promotion from the University of Jyväskylä and a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Leisure Management from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
