Paul Mathis has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Paul is currently serving as the Chief Engineer & Head of Engineering at Viessmann since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Lehrstuhl für Gebäude- und Raumklimatechnik, E.ON ERC, RWTH Aachen University for more than a decade. During their time there, they held multiple roles such as Teamleiter, Wissenschaftlicher Assistent, and was involved in leading research projects and acquiring funding for them. Paul also worked on optimizing components using computational fluid dynamics. Additionally, Paul had an internship experience at MAN Diesel & Turbo in 2008.

Paul Mathis obtained their Dipl.-Ing. degree in Aerospace Engineering (Maschinenbau - Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik) from RWTH Aachen University in 2009. Paul is currently pursuing their Promotion zum Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering (Maschinenbau) at RWTH Aachen University, expected to be completed in 2021.
