Bemp Ranojoy Dutta Gri Certified

Ranojoy Dutta has a strong background in energy and sustainability, with a focus on building performance and simulation. Ranojoy is currently the Director of Energy & Sustainability at View, Inc, where they manage a design services team and supports the company's R&D efforts. Ranojoy is also the product manager for the software algorithm that controls View Smart Glass.

Prior to their current role, Ranojoy worked as the Modelling & Simulation Manager at View, Inc. In this position, they led a team of building performance specialists and developed a compelling value proposition for using View Dynamic Glass in sustainable buildings. Ranojoy received the company-wide Learning Oriented Award in 2017 for their innovation and drive for excellence.

Before joining View, Inc, Ranojoy worked as a High Performance Building Specialist, collaborating with architects, engineers, and sustainability consultants to develop value propositions for using View Dynamic Glass in various building types. Ranojoy achieved significant milestones in developing a web-based energy simulation tool and standardized energy models to streamline the modeling process.

Earlier in their career, Ranojoy worked as an Energy Analyst at MS Addison and Associates, conducting research and generating energy models for non-residential buildings. Ranojoy also calibrated models for compliance with ASHRAE standards.

Ranojoy's work experience also includes a role as a Strategic Planner at NELSON, where they aligned real estate portfolios with business needs, developed interactive dashboards, and led stakeholder meetings. Ranojoy was recognized as one of the top innovators on the account and received the 2008 Innovation Award.

Ranojoy Dutta obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from Jadavpur University between 1999 and 2004. Ranojoy then pursued a Master of Science degree in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University from 2005 to 2007. Later, between 2011 and 2013, Ranojoy completed a Master of Science in the Built Environment (MSBE) with a specialization in Energy Performance and Climate Responsive Architecture from Arizona State University.

In addition to their degrees, Ranojoy also holds various certifications related to the field. Ranojoy obtained the certification of Building Energy Modelling Professional (BEMP) from ASHRAE in September 2017. In December 2017, they also received the certification of High-Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP) from ASHRAE. More recently, in October 2022, they became a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional accredited by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Additionally, in November 2022, Ranojoy obtained the LEED Green Associate certification, awarded by the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
