Brian Griedel, Ph.D., J.D., has a diverse work experience in the field of intellectual property and chemistry. Brian currently serves as the Associate General Counsel and Vice President of Intellectual Property at View, Inc. since 2011. Prior to this, they worked as a Patent Attorney at Weaver Austin Villeneuve Sampson, LLP from 2009 to 2011. From 2004 to 2009, they held the position of Director of Intellectual Property at Rigel. Before that, they worked at Exelixis as a Patent Agent III from 2002 to 2004, and at Beyer Weaver & Thomas, LLP as a Patent Agent from 2000 to 2002. Their career started at Berlex Biosciences/Schering AG (now Bayer) in 1994, where they held the position of Synthetic Organic Chemist - Drug Discovery. At Berlex Biosciences/Schering AG, they also served as a Medicinal Chemist/Group Leader, managing both medicinal chemistry and combinatorial chemistry production groups and making significant contributions to key projects.

Brian Griedel, Ph.D., J.D. completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Waynesburg University in 1986. Brian then pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from North Carolina State University from 1986 to 1991. Following this, they engaged in a postdoctoral program with Professor Scott Denmark at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1992 to 1994.

In 2007, Brian Griedel obtained a J.D. from Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, where they focused on studying Law.
