Roman Schmied

Roman Schmied is currently the Software Team Lead and Senior R&D Technologist at Viewpointsystem GmbH. Previously, Roman worked as a Senior Scientist at the University of Basel from May 2010 to November 2020. Roman also held a position as a Substituting Professor of Physics at the University of Freiburg for a brief period in 2017. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Chemistry from Princeton University and a Habilitation in Physics from the University of Basel, Roman has a strong educational background. Additionally, Roman has experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and as a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Currently, Roman is also the Video Producer at the inner world of Orange since August 2018.
