Julie Siler

Julie Siler has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Julie currently holds the position of President & Chief Operating Officer at VIGILINT since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Special Projects at the same company, where they coordinated the expansion into the Canadian consumer healthcare market.

Before joining VIGILINT, Julie worked as a Consultant at Drake Partners LLC from August 2015 to August 2019. Julie also held the role of Director, Clinical Affairs at Dolores Speech Products from April 2015 to August 2019, where they played a key role in promoting the adoption of company products across healthcare organizations.

From August 2016 to December 2018, Julie served as a Project Manager for the US region at the Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME), a prestigious Nordic mentoring program for life science ventures. Julie was responsible for matching Nordic ventures with skilled professionals to help them achieve their business goals.

In 2017, Julie worked as a Business Development professional for Lexplore, where they contributed to the development of a 2-minute screener for dyslexia detection.

Prior to their roles in the healthcare and life science sectors, Julie founded Southern Speech Diagnostics, PLLC in 2009, a mobile speech-language pathology company that provided diagnostic services in various healthcare settings. Julie also worked as a Speech Language Pathologist at FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Cape Fear Valley Health System, where they gained extensive experience in evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. During their time at Cape Fear Valley Health System, they played a significant role in developing a new electronic medical record system for the Speech Pathology department and provided clinical supervision for graduate speech pathology students.

Julie Siler obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from UC San Diego in 2000. Julie went on to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Disorders Sciences and Services from Our Lady of the Lake University, which they completed in 2006. In 2015, Julie attended UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, they hold the Speech Language Pathologist - Certificate of Clinical Competence from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), although the specific date of obtaining this certification is unknown.
