Ramakrishnan Karuppiah

Ramakrishnan Karuppiah has extensive work experience in various roles related to quality management and process improvement. Ramakrishnan started their career as a Supervisor cum Drawing office Incharge at Electric Control Equipment Co., Ltd., where they monitored the design office and supervised the manufacturing of Electric arc Furnaces.

Ramakrishnan then worked as a Junior Management Trainee at Best & Crompton Engineering Limited, where they were engaged in process planning and tool room functions in the Production Engineering Department.

After that, they joined Fenner (India) Ltd as a Junior Manager - Technical, where they focused on process and product quality control, new product/process development, and ISO 9001 implementation.

Next, they joined Malhotra Organisation as a Senior Manager QA Systems and Management Representative, responsible for implementing and improving quality management systems and obtaining various certifications.

Ramakrishnan then moved to AGI Glaspac Ltd as an Asst GM - Quality, where they led a team of quality engineers and implemented measures to improve product quality, packaging efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Ramakrishnan'smost recent role was at Vijai Electricals Limited, where they served as Vice President - QHSE and General Manager. In this position, they were responsible for managing quality, health, environment, and safety in manufacturing and turnkey project management. Ramakrishnan achieved near-zero defects in critical manufacturing processes and implemented an integrated management system with a continuous improvement approach.

Throughout their career, Ramakrishnan Karuppiah has demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, quality management, and achieving certifications.

Ramakrishnan Karuppiah earned a Graduate Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, from 1988 to 1992. Prior to that, they completed a Sandwich Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from TAMILNAD POLYTECHNIC, from 1978 to 1981. Additionally, they completed a Pre-university course in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Madura College in 1977-1978. Ramakrishnan also holds certification as a Lead Assessor of ISO 9001QMS from Nigeul Bauer Associates.
