Chief Operating Officer at Viken Detection

Chitra Subramanian has a strong background in engineering and management roles within the medical imaging industry. Chitra currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Viken Detection, starting in April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Analogic for a significant portion of their career.

During their time at Analogic, Chitra held various positions, including Director of Engineering, Medical CT, Director of CT Platforms, and Program Manager for Rapid DNA in the Security Division. In these roles, they led cross-functional teams and managed programs, working closely with multiple departments such as engineering, product management, supply chain, operations, finance, quality, compliance, and regulatory groups. Chitra'saccomplishments include obtaining FDA and CE approvals for a whole-body, multi-slice CT scanner, as well as launching a novel instrument for rapid DNA analysis.

Chitra started their journey at Analogic as a Principal Engineer, progressing from software engineer to senior software engineer and eventually principal engineer. Throughout their roles, they focused on reconstruction software, imaging algorithms, and physics for carry-on and checked baggage CT scanners, and holds four patents.

Chitra Subramanian holds a Graduate Certification in Engineering Leadership from Northeastern University. Prior to this, Chitra pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University. Chitra's educational journey began at the College of Engineering, Guindy, where they completed their undergraduate studies and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics.
